Xu You-li is a hot-tempered and stubborn old man who always has conflicts with his wife Gao Shu-ya. Lately, they were worrying about problems that arose among their three kid's careers, affection or marriage. The former girlfriend Jin Jia of the second son Wen Jian came back from abroad. She wanted to renew their love again. However, Wen Jian had got a new girlfriend Xiao Ling, while he was reluctant to hurt Jin Jia, which made he was in a dilemma.

Jin Jia's brother Chen Yong had been courting Wen Jian'a little sister Xue Ying, but he met with fierce opposition of old couple of Xu's family. The eldest son Wen Jun and Chen Yong did business together, meanwhile he had never stop quarrelling with his wife who wishes to be a singing star. Xue Ying got married, while Wen Jun and his unfaithful wife divorced. Wen Jian's company confronted danger, and Jin Jia offered him a hand. He faced a more difficult emotional choice while Wen Jian's business turned out right and began to rapidly develop.

Finally, Wen Jian and Xiao Ling got married while Jin Jia boarded the plane and left the heartbreaking city.
