"Dreaming of Heaven"
based on a famous novel by ‘Modern Youth’ written by Zhang Henshui.
Master piece +Star lineup+ professional Team + Popular idol+ romantic and humor + Business struggle.
Basically:
-Mingdao plays the main character Zhou Jin Chun, who is consumed by desire and drinking, partying, etc.
-Li Man plays Kong Ling Yi, who seduces Zhou Jin Chun or something..
-Xu Xi Yan plays Zhou Jin Chun's fiancee which he abandons.
Synopsis:
Ever since he was a little kid, Zhou Jin Chun(played by Mingdao) was very smart, so his dad was working blood and sweat to make sure that he went to Beijing University, that includes selling his land and house, selling tofu, etc.
However, instead of studying, he let himself be allured by Kong Ling Yi(played by Li Man), forgot his fiancée, Ju Fen (played by Xu Xi Yan), and was consumed by the worldliness (translation: yes, drinking, dancing, and partying. Frat parties, perhaps? hahaha). Anyways, his dad went looking for him in Beijing and found out about his son's behavior, went back to the village all upset and stressed out that he passed away.
Then Zhou Ji Zhong hoaxed Kong's ring, fled to Nanjing, became an actor and got really famous. He met again with Kong and somehow they plotted a false wedding (I don't know why). Then when they went back to Kong's house… TADAAA…. Guess what!!! Kong and Ju Fen had the same mother. Yep.
Ju Fen was so embarrassed that she committed suicide. Ji Chun was thrown out from Kong's house and so he's all by himself…. What a tragedy.
This is nothing like the idol dramas Mingdao has acted in before. This whole series is basically a tragedy, but very interesting nonetheless!!
