Mr. Qin Jian, a Chinese director living in America is entrusted by Ms Chen Xiangmei, widow of General Chennault, with the production of the 30-parts TV series “Flying Tigers in Fire”. The scenario has passed the strict censorship of the government departments concerned, which lasted for over seven years during which a number of revisions were made.

The casting has been done in New York. Professionals from Broadway and Hollywood were interviewed. Twelve of them have been chosen to join in this massive production.

It is the only film concerning this subject that has been officially approved so far. This unparalleled TV series will be produced with the most advanced equipment and techniques and a film will be made for cinema through editing. They will be released at the same time. 1990 directed a TV film THE SOUL OF THE HUANGPU MILITARY ACADEMY, starring Guo Yuntai, broadcast by CCTV and many local stations, with video tapes distributed.

1992 directed a TV film A LOVE STORY OF THE HUANGPU GRADUTES, broadcast by CCTV

1993 invited to attend the 30th Taiwan Golden Horse Film Festival, had a talk with Mr. Jiang Weiguo , introducing the TV film The Love Story of the Huangpu Graduates to him and had it distributed in Taiwan.

1994 visited some European countries and produced a TV film The Netherlands -- A Gateway of Europe. Broadcast in some EU countries and by CCTV and many local TV stations.

1995 adapted The Soul of a Big Country, winner of People’s Literature Award -- the China’s highest literature award, for the ten-part TV series General Stilwell and the Chinese Expeditionary Army.

1996-1997 directed a ten-part TV series GENERAL STILWELL IN THE SINO-BURMESE-INDIAN THEATRE, starring Sun Feihu and the American actor Daniel King. Granted a special award by San Francisco Film & Video Arts Commission. Invited to America three times and the city of Monterey, California conferred the title of honorary citizen on me.

1998 Invited by the American Art and Literature Association to direct AROUND AMERICA. Met Ms. Chen Xiangmei to discuss the production of a film GENERAL CHENAULT.

1999 prepare for the production of a 20-part TV series DREAMS OF THE CHINESE EDUCATED YOUNG PEOPLE which is to explore the 21st Century with a completely new approach that combines newsreel, documentary and feature film and with some original forms of expression.

2000 GENERAL STILWELL IN THE SINO-BURMESE-INDIAN THEATRE distributed to America, France, South Korea and other places in Southeast Asia by China Int’l TV Corp.

2002 direct a sample film for the TV series CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, commissioned by the Supreme Court of China.

2002 Granted Permanent Residence by the American government as an outstanding person and emigrated to New York with family. Taught in Movies Department of Wall Street College and organized with Sino Vision of America a Multinational Actor Training Program. Produced MEMORY OF NEW YORK which is the first film concerning the 911 tragedy in the world.

2003 Worked for Sino Vision of America, Wall Street College. Observe the Chinese people’s life in America. and trained people of many nationalities to represent their lives on TV screen. Taught, wrote scenarios, directed and produced TV films: STORIES OF CHINA TOWN; PIANIST OF NEW YORK; CONFIDING; ROSE OF NEW YORK; ANECDOTE OF CHINA TOWN broadcast in New York and New Jersey

2004 With New York Film & TV Production and uswtv.com, produced a TV series (with its length unlimited) OUR LIFE in U.S. which reflects the true life of immigrates living in the United States.
