Space hero Yang Liwei became Chinese youth idol after Shenzhou-5 manned spacecraft was launched successfully in 2003. Inspired by this, Zheng Shuai created an animated cartoon project named Space Mouse. Incorporated in 2005, Guangdong Space Mouse Animated Cartoon Co., Ltd is engaged in the animation industry. Zheng Shuai planned to produce ten series totaled to 260 episodes animated series “Space Mouse”. He also intended to make space mouse to be a blend of interesting scientific and informative cartoon brand. In addition, to be a popular cartoon image among the youth to publicize Chinese space industry. This project has received energetic support from Chinese Society of Astronautics and Chinese Astronautic Center. Space hero Yang Liwei participated in the books signature and present ceremony. He also gave a lecture on the space scientific knowledge for those space mouse book fans. Besides, American Astronauts has a special preference to space mouse. Space mouse was selected as mascot of the 16th International Congress of Young Astronautics, and it became the spokesperson propagating scientific knowledge for youth all over the world. Space mouse gained rapid recognition in the world.
