This is a full length documentary which traces peasants' thirteen-year course of development. It studies new problems of Chinese farmers' survival and development through TV language. This documentary tells the story of changes of three sisters, reflecting the real microcosm of Chinese farmers' problems.
It’s mainly the retrospect of the ten-year historic changes of China's structures in urban and rural economies and social structure from the mid 90's. In this period, as recorded in "Migrations – A Long Journey" that lives of peasant-workers three sisters have changed a lot, status of peasant-workers is changing: some have to go back to hometown to start their own business while new comers are increasing. The past single girl now has gotten married and has new babies, and the past coolie now has become the little boss…However, there rise a series of new problems about peasant-workers.
