This TV series tells us a story about a family living under the shadow of family history of Breast cancer.

Jian Jie, the first daughter of Jian family, was living with her father many years while her two sisters Jian Ning and Jian Xin was brought up by their mother. When the whole family gathered together, things were all different.

Jian Ning was the manager of Rooms Department in a hotel and was competing for the position of Operating Officer. Her daughter Chen Huan was facing the high school entrance examination and her husband Chen Lisheng, the dean of Chinese Department of a college, was busy applying his subject Special Fund. Actually this was a happy and harmonious family. They had paid off the first phase of their housing fund and were looking forward to their bright future. But one night, when Jian Ning was bathing, she found breast lumps…

Encouraged by her husband, Jian Ning stayed in the hospital. After a series diagnose, she received the breast cutting surgery. Under the philosophy of Perfectionism, Jian Ning could not accept her deformity. Influenced by her mother’s philosophy of marriage, she started to doubt her husband had some relationship with his student Tian Xiaoli. From then on, she exited from the competition in her career, from common social communication, and locked herself in the narrow field of fury suspect and struggle. Time and time again, Jian Ning hurt her husband. Forgiven by her husband, she became even crazier and took more absurd actions. Chen Lisheng loved his wife deeply, but he could not bear her any more and had relationship with Tian Xiaoli in the end. His misbehavior was published on a newspaper and he was considered to be “enemy of all the people”.

Facing the collapse of her marriage, Jian Ning found new lumps in her breasts. Under the courage of the doctor, Lu Chenfeng, Jian Ning started to remove her burden and receive the operation by herself…

Jian Xin was working in the news department of the TV station as a famous Columns producer and compere. She was very decisive and successful woman in her career. There were two men in her life, and she was wandering between Mr. Shao who was a married man and her boyfriend Ding Yinuo. Jian Ning’s illness lightened the fear in her heart. From the time she found lumps in her breasts, she tried more on the competition of her documentary but caused her good friend’s misunderstanding.

Jian Xin was going to receive cure in hospital and her boyfriend Ding Yinuo gave up the opportunity of going to Europe in order to take care of her. Jian Xin was moved for his choice. In hospital, Jian Xin’s condition was very special. Many experts came there and gave her an exanimate, but they had not got any results. In the TV station, Jian Xin’s important partners were employed by others. Her program was in great danger and managed only by the Tibetan boy Duoji. Meanwhile, Mr. Shao was going to devoice his wife who was suffering Breast Cancer. In the process of getting alone with Ding Yinuo, Jianxin realized her fragility and being reliable to Ding Yinuo. They both were in doubt of love.

In the suffering days of being in the hospital, Jianxin started to know her good friend Duoji. This Tibetan chose to go in facing the fact of leukaemia. Jian Xin also knew bone cancer patient Luwei and was shocked by this little friend. Ding Yinuo could not bear the great pressure and decided to leave Jianxin. Jianxin was in great bitterness and she began to rediscover the meaning of life. At last, Jianxin gave up the operation and turned to traditional Chinese medicine introduced by Lu Chenfeng. She decided to leave hospital and went to find her Tibetan friend Duoji.

Jianjie had some dissatisfaction toward her family but she kept taking care of her mother and two sisters. Jianjie was managing a Teahouse with a good man Juli, but they two did not get marriage all the time. Jianjie brought her captious mother to her house and the controversies were nonstop in the small room. On the day of Jianjie’s wedding ceremony, her ex-husband appeared. Jianjie found him a place to live and took care of the child. Juli was in crises in his love because of the appearance of Ranyang. How should he deal with this problem?

In the end of the story, the mother removed her burden of her husband and marriage. Juli and Jianjie got marriage. Jianxin was reborn after the travel in Tibet. While in the fair, Chen Lisheng met the eyesight of his wife Jianning since two years before…
