Jiang Zhongtian is depressed,having just lost his girlfriend and his job.After telling Jiang she wanted to break up with him ,Wen Xin has vanished without a trace and his childhood friend ,HongYuan, who is also in love with Wen Xin ,has brought the publishing house where Jiang worked . The appearance of Li Zuowen, who was once accused of attempting to rape Wen Xin, almost pushes Jiang over the edge. Things get even worse for Jiang when Hong Yuan is murdered and he becomes the primary suspect .

Tortured by feelings of betrayal and haunted by images of himself killing Hong Yuan, despite all the evidence to the contrary, Jiang is brought back to reality by the sound of Wen Xin's voice on his anwering machine,"Shall we talk? I'm…" Once again, Jiang Zhongtian runs out into the road, his longing for Wen Xin finally leads him to the truth, but it is a terrible, shocking truth, and a painful lesson about human nature, morality,friendship and love!
