At the International Film and TV Market of Shanghai TV Festival 2009, the Shanghai Media Group will have the characters Elmo, Big Bird and Cookie Monster from the acclaimed American educational children's TV series Sesame Street at their show booth. The TV series will be introduced in July by Shanghai Wingsmedia, but only 8 episodes will be available on DVD.
The DVDs, toys and books derived from Sesame Street are designed for pre-school children aged 2-7. Aiming to made education as entertaining as possible, Sesame Street can play an important role in the acquisition of life skills and language and in the development of imagination and social skills. This first wave of Sesame Street products will cover everything from the names of body parts to health to imagination development.
