King of the Zombies

A Feng Shui expert, Master Shao came to the Post, claiming that Feng Shui could alter one's fortune. Lady Feng made a bet with him that Post man Ma would encounter a disaster soon, but Mater Shao explained that after the disaster, misfortune would leave Postman Ma, and things auspicious would come his way. A shaman named "King of the Zombies" came and asked Lady Feng for the permission to store some corpses in the stable of the Post during the day, and said he would guide them (by turning them into zombies, and so the corpses could walk or skip on their own at night) back to their hometown for burial during the night. Master Shao found a very good and lucky spot, according to Feng Shui, as the new burial ground for Postman Ma's ancestors, so Ma could move the bones of his ancestors, so Ma could move the bones of his ancestors there. He asked Postman Ma to dig a hole for the coffins, and spend one night sleeping in one of them. Postman Ma was awakened by the sound of the shepherding of the zombies, and saw that the shaman was leading the zombies to the valley, but then, they were transported away by a carriage. At that moment, Postman Ma was hit in the head, and passed out. When he came to, he found himself in the Post. Li told Postman Na that she had a vision of Ma being covered with silver pieces. Ma thought it was a bad omen that he would die soon. Master Shao took Shi to the valley, and they found the footprints of the zombies to be very deep (zombies are supposed to weigh much less than men), and so they thought these are not corpses. That night, Shi and Lady Feng went to stop the shaman from guiding the zombies. All of a sudden, the corpses turned into real and living people, and all of them engaged in a fight. The shaman got away amidst all the confusion. Postman Ma and Li found that the hole in the burial ground was filled with tributary silver for the court. The shaman arrived, and wanted to kill and bury the two. Master Shao came and battled against the shaman. Master Shao triumphed by disabling the shaman's ability to fight completely. Actually, Master Shao was rewarded by the court for breaking the case, and the Dragon Gate Post was granted an imperial placard in praise of their service.

Everything in the Post returned to normal, and the town was busy as usual. Postman Ma brought news of an urban legend-- whenever it was full moon with the wolves howling, someone would contract a weird disease. Sheriff He went to check out the truth about the rumors. A young couple came to the Post. The husband, Duan, always looked sad, while the wife, Jiang, wore a veil over her face all the time. At night, they were never in their room. Once again, Li had one of those trances with strange images. In the night of the full moon, the wolves were howling, and mysterious murders took place. A lot of dead bodies were found, and most of these murdered men were ruffians and rogues. The murderer was very cruel and ruthless in the way he killed. There was a group of merchants from the North East, and onr of them, Big Ni, was having evil thoughts about Jiang. Both Big Ni and the young couple were missing, and meanwhile Li had a terrible sight that the hands of Big Ni were cut off and left in Hungry Wolf Ravine. The body of Big Ni was found, By Shi and Lady Feng, lying in the Ravine, with his hands severed. Duan was there in the crime scene, and he said he won't allow ant more of this to happen to his wife. And, the story was told... Duan and Jiang were a happily married couple, but the wife inherited leprosy from her family. According to the legend of "selling leprosy", if his wife had sex with one hundred men, her leprosy would be curd. But Duan would get jealous and angry everytime his wife had sex with another man, and so would kill the man. He did not want his wife to suffer any longer and his wife did not want him to kill because of her anymore. Jiang wanted to kill herself and had prepared a suicide note. The husband came and was ready to die with her. Lady Feng dissuaded them from the act, and took them to the Post. Sheriff He arrived, and Lady Feng told him that the murderer was long gone, and that all the men killed deserved to die. Lady Feng and Shi told the young couple that what the wife was having was not leprosy but a strange kind of skin disease, and they wished the young couple happiness ever after.

Red Beard

Postman Ma informed everyone in Dragon Gate Post that Red Beard, the leader of the horse thieves, would come and plunder the town of Crescent Moon. Thunder and Li took the very sick Han (Thunder's benefactor) into a town where not a soul could be found. Thunder asked Han why he was still alive since he had seen him killed. Han said it was a miracle, and asked Thunder to repay him now for taking care of his granddaughter. He hoped Thunder would help him out in his fight with Red Beard and the gang of horse thieves. Thunder took Li and Han to the Dragon Gate Post, but Lady Feng did not want the Post to be involved in the feud between Han and Red Beard since that would cause much trouble. However, Thunder proclaimed that he could not abandon his benefactor under such circumstances. Things appeared ominous. Thunder suspected that Red Beard was already among them and had disguised himself as one of the merchants staying in the Post, while Li had a vision of a very bloody and gory scene. That night, Red Beard and his gang appeared. Red Beard wanted to settle the unfinished business between Han and himself. He accused Han of taking his government position years ago, making him end up as a horse thief. Red Beard also claimed Han to be guilty of the death of the general's entire family, and would want to take revenge now. Han revealed that it was Thunder who executed the general, and that he himself had been dead once. After that, he took off and disappeared by breaking through the roof,. Thunder was willing to take the blame in order to repay his benefactor. Red Beard left the Post with his gang, running after Han. The next day, the gang of horse thieves was found dead in Hungry Wolf Ravine, and Red Bear was hanged in a tree. Everyone was shocked at what Han had done. Sabre Qi, the blacksmith, took of the big knife that used to belong to Thunder because Thunder had to face Han, his benefactor, soon in the ultimate duel.

Thunder Out of the Blue

Shi took Li to Hungry Wolf Ravine and was looking for a physician to save the dying girl. He saw the butterfly birthmark on her back and recalled his past. He was the executioner nicknamed “Thunder out of the Blue”. “Thunder” thought he was guilty of killing innocent prisoners, and retribution was done through the death and illness of his wife and children. The only surviving family member was his granddaughter, so he set out to look for her. As he was going home, a decree came from the court ordering him to execute a general who was accused of starting a mutiny. Thunder was indecisive as he knew the general was innocent. On the eve of the execution, spooky winds were blowing in Hungry Wolf Ravine, as if the spirits of the innocents executed by Thunder were returning for revenge. Thunder was in a state of madness when he met Lady Feng, who was looking for her husband. Lady Feng asked Thunder to lay down his saber and stop killing. The general was taken to the execution ground. Thunder took his saber and cut off the general’s head. The family of the general came and killed themselves at the scene. Thunder vowed to keep anonymous and continued to look for his granddaughter. Surprisingly, his granddaughter was Li, the girl in front of him. He took Li back to his old home. He found the place full of ancestral tablets, and Li disappeared suddenly. Thunder hurried into the house and found someone alive who looked exactly the same as Li. When she woke up, he told her that he was her grandfather. He asked her whether she remembered anything, and Li said that she had never left the place! She mentioned that she had a twin sister who died long ago. Feeling sad, Thunder thought it was the spirit of the twin sister who brought him to Li. Thunder considered finding his grandfather a gift from heaven. Li told him that she had an uncle who had looked after her for over ten years, and he found out that the man was his benefactor Han who had once saved his life!
